For Couples
Same team again, even when your brains work completely differently.
Somatic, depth-based therapy for neurodivergent couples navigating conflict, disconnection, or “we don’t know what’s wrong, we just know it’s not working.”

You’re in the right place if…
You keep having the same fight and nothing ever fully resolves
The closeness is gone, and you’re not sure how to find your way back to each other
You’ve tried couples therapy, but it stayed on the surface, or you hit a ceiling
One of you is already saying ‘I’m done,’ and the other isn’t ready to let go
You know something from your past is driving your reactions, but you can’t stop it
Or you’re not sure whether to stay or go, and you need a safe place to find out
What it actually feels like right now
You keep having the same fight, and neither of you has a new tool left to try. One of you is melting down more than usual, or shutting down completely, and the other doesn’t know how to hold space without getting dysregulated too. You’ve quietly become each other’s caseworker, tracking chores, appointments, meltdowns, capacity, and it’s exhausting in a way almost no one outside this understands. It took you so long to find someone who actually gets how your brain works. You’re terrified of losing that. And some days you swing from ‘we’re done’ to ‘we’re okay’ so fast the instability itself has become the real problem.
You are not the problem, and your relationship is not something to manage into submission. The pattern you keep hitting has a root. Once you can actually see it, it stops running the two of you.
Picture your new ordinary day
A fight starts to build the way it used to, and it doesn’t turn into the blowup you’re both bracing for. You both know the off-ramp now.
One of you starts to spiral, and the other doesn’t freeze or match the escalation. You actually know what to do in that minute.
You catch yourselves mid-argument, look at each other, and remember you’re on the same team, not two people managing each other.
Your partner reacts a certain way and, instead of taking it personally, you understand why, and it stops feeling like an attack.
Whatever you decide, to stay or to go, you feel clear about it, instead of stuck in the loop of almost-leaving and coming back.
Ways we can work together
Relationship Triage Session (60 or 90 minutes). First aid for your relationship. We assess the current landscape, identify the core loop, and you leave with immediate tools and a clear map for what comes next. Most clients say this single session shifted something months of other therapy hadn’t.
Weekly Sessions (Ongoing). Steady, building work at a pace that allows for real integration. Most clients see meaningful change within 4–8 sessions.
Repair Intensive (2 to 4 Consecutive Days). The container that changes things fastest. We move at the speed of real change instead of waiting a week between sessions. Right for you if you’re in crisis, you’ve hit a ceiling in therapy, one of you is considering separation, or you want to give this everything before deciding either way.
What Clients Say
“Navigating relationship challenges can feel incredibly vulnerable, but Meris’ professionalism and approach gave us confidence from day one. She was neutral, fair, and objective throughout our sessions. I was impressed with her ability to connect with both of us individually, and to hold space for both of us to be heard equally. It felt like talking with someone I had known for years. Meris created a warm, judgement free space where we both felt respected and understood. I also appreciated the practical tools and exercises she gave us to help manage conflict and activation in day to day life.”

“I had four couples counseling sessions with Meris and my boyfriend, and I found her exceptionally easy to talk to and comfortable to be around. She created a space where both of us felt heard and respected, without judgment or pressure.

I speak for both of us when I say we loved how neurodivergent-affirming she is. She understands the ways neurodivergence can affect communication, emotions, conflict, and relationships, and approached those differences with genuine understanding rather than trying to fit us into a conventional relationship framework.
I also really appreciated that Meris didn’t take sides. She was able to recognize and address the perspectives and needs of both of us, even when we were coming into a conversation from very different places. That made it much easier to be honest and actually engage with the process rather than feeling like one person was being blamed or “corrected.”
Every session had a practical component. Meris gave us specific exercises or things to work on between sessions, rather than leaving us with general advice, and she followed up on how those things were going. That accountability made the sessions feel like part of an ongoing process rather than isolated conversations.
Even though we only did four sessions, I found the experience genuinely useful. Meris is warm, grounded, practical, and very easy to be around, and I would absolutely recommend her to couples—particularly neurodivergent couples—looking for someone who can support both people without taking sides.
